This is the official project site for the open source Validat Project by Alagad, Inc. This site contains documentation for the project as well as a roadmap for future development and a bug tracker.

Mission and Scope

Data validation is common to almost any web application, but many developers tend to re-invent the wheel with each new application because there is some little difference in the requirements for validation. This is where Validat fits into the picture. Validat is a data validation engine, developed in ColdFusion, whose purpose is to be dropped into any application and with a minimal amount of customization, perform any data validation needs for that application. Status

The Validat data validation engine is currently at its initial Alpha milestone. The only remaining tasks move Validat to an official Beta are to get the documentation in this Wiki finished up (documentation is always last!). In addition, we are currently working on additional features, documentation, examples, and fixing any defects that you help us find. To follow the status of this project, visit our project roadmap.
